The 3rd gen Wi-Fi camera can be mounted anyway you like as you can flip the video in the app so you can choose to skip to Step 2. However, if you have the TV camera option the bracket must be flipped so the feed on the tv is the correct way up.

Step 1: First, remove the bracket and rotate it 180 degrees and re-attach it. This will allow you to tilt the camera further. To remove the bracket, use the Allen key provided.

Step 2: To get an idea of the placement of the camera. We generally recommend placing the camera opposite the entrance on the rear of the house. This will give you a clear view of the entrance. To make sure the camera is the correct way up make sure the small lens is on top of the large lens. You when you flip the house when finished it will then appear below the lens.

Step 3: Line the bracket up with the vertical pole and thread the four cable ties around the horizontal poles and through the two holes on the bracket “not the centre hole”. Make sure this is secure in place as it will be flipped upside down and will fall forward.

Step 4: Before flipping, make sure to tighten the bracket with the Allen key, and position the camera so it’s facing the entrance. You can then cut off the tails of the cable ties if you want a cleaner look.

Step 5: To tidy up the cables we recommend feeding them out and under the rear side of the house. Use a cable tie to tie to the outer rim stopping it moving and pulling the camera.

Step 6: Download the app from the QR code included with the box or find the Greenfeathers App in the play or apple store and following the instructions for the app setup. For the tv camera option connect the 30m cable to the camera and follow the instructions

Hedgehog FAQs

When to put hedgehog house out?

April & October are the most ideal months to put out a hedgehog house, as they are hibernating from Late December to March.

Hedgehogs may want to use the Hedgehog Haus to live in during the summer when they are active or to hibernate in during the winter.

What to put in a hedgehog house?

Hedgehogs like to build their nests from easily accessible materials. So, making sure there are plenty of leaves, straw, or hay next to the Hedgehog Haus is a good idea.

You may also want to tempt them to visit their new home with some hedgehog food. However, don’t continue to do this as hedgehogs do not enjoy eating where they sleep, as this can attract predators.

What do hedgehogs eat?

A typical diet of the hedgehog includes small invertebrates such as beetles, caterpillars, and earthworms.

However, you may want to consider hedgehog food such as Cotswold Granaries, as specially designed hedgehog food they are good for maintaining healthy teeth and gums. It also doesn’t attract other animals such as cats.  

Do Hedgehogs hibernate?

Yes, hedgehogs usually hibernate from December until late March. Although this can be dependent on the weather and the hedgehog themselves.

When do hedgehogs have babies?

Hedgehogs usually give birth in the middle of summer, during June and July. The average size of each litter is four or five hoglets.
