A biodegradable garden netting made from cornstarch. The Eco Ultrafine Veggiemesh is one of the first biodegradable garden nettings in the UK. The netting offers all the same protection as our standard ultrafine Veggiemesh.
Which pests will this biodegradable netting keep out?
This biodegradable net will keep out a wide range of garden pests including cabbage root fly, carrot fly, cabbage white butterfly, pea moth, leek moth, cutworm, onion fly, leaf miners and many species of aphids. It offers protection from flea beetle and whitefly damage.
How long will the biodegradable net last?
Can be left outdoors and has a minimum lifespan of 3 years. After this it will start to break down into carbon dioxide and water. Made from corn starch.
Is the netting compostable?
Yes fully compostable.
Mesh size 0.85mm x 0.85mm.
Lay directly over the crops, garden hoops or cages.
Any fruit or vegetabe can be covered with this netting. If the crops need pollination, lift the netting during flowering.
This product is made from Polylactic Acid derived from corn-starch that will break down into water and carbon dioxide. Fully compostable to EN13432 standard.
