Effortless to grow and perhaps the tallest, these Kong F1 Sunflower seeds will drop a touch of bright colour to your garden for a remarkable golden garden flowerbed. You'll have the tallest flowers in the neighbourhood once these have grown.

The smaller multi-heads cause these plants to be long-flowering and they flower the very same year as sown for a dazzling outdoor garden. A strong annual plant, these delightfully tall sunflowers are a cheery addition to any garden or outside space.

Why grow sunflowers
Sunflowers have many uses but growing them in your garden provides food for bees (and yourself). Did you know British garden bees especially, love the pollen and nectar that come from these sunflowers.

These sunflowers are:
A hardy garden annual, that flowers the same year as sown.
Easy to grow from seed and possibly the tallest garden flower.
Have smaller multi-heads meaning plants are long flowering.

We have a wide range of garden grow seeds here.

Specifications:
Average sunflower seeds per grow packet: 20
Grow packets packed in UK.

To sow and grow:
Sow outdoors where they are to flower, 1.5cm deep, place seed directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Sow two sunflower seeds together every 45cm. Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Remove the weaker sunflower plant, which can be transplanted elsewhere in your garden if desired. Water well until young plants grow and are well established in your garden.
Or sow indoors 1.5cm deep, individually in pots of compost. Water seeds well and place in a cold frame or greenhouse. Gradually accustom sunflower plants to outside garden conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 45cm apart.

Top tip:
For competition winners, water seeds regularly and feed before flowering begins. Easy to grow but if garden pests are a problem start growing sunflowers indoors.

Edible: Sunflower seeds harvested from grown garden plants can be used in baking. Packet seeds are not for consumption.
