Sciarid Fly Treatment Hypoline M (Hypoaspis miles) Tube of 10,000 Mites
Mobile predatory mites that feed on sciarid fly larvae and other 'soil' pests including springtails, thrips pupae and root mealybug. Adults are reported to live for several months and survive up to 50 days without food, making them ideal in situations of very low pest populations.
Introduce into most growing media including artificial substrates. Use as a preventative or at the first sign of sciarids. Requires a minimum temperature of 12°C.
100 per m2 usually as a single application. For permanently planted areas (interior landscapes, botanic gardens etc.) re-introduce every 10 to 12 weeks.
Once pack treats approx 100 sq.m
Incorporate mites into growing media during potting or sprinkle onto growing media surface. Mites will often move onto plants from growing media to look for prey during dark hours of day/night.
Rotate tube several times before opening to mix contents.
Remove the cap from one end of the tube (either end).
Shake tube slowly to dispense mixture onto the surface of growing media.
Mites will quickly distribute uniformly through crop
