Bumble Bee Colony In Wooden Shelter
The wooden bumble bee shelter gives the perfect home for bumble bees.
Bumblebees require nectar for energy and pollen for protein in order to survie. They collect pollen on their furry coats and tranfer it from flower to flower before retreating back to their nest.
Bumblebees are the perfect natural pollinator. They can operate in cloudy conditions and much colder weather than honeybees.
Perfect for pollinating a wide range of crops such as tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, peppers, plums, apples, pears, etc.
You will receive a wooden shelter and a beehive. The beehive will consist of 1 queen and roughly 80 workers and includes a supply of nectar to feed the bumblebees if a natural source is in short supply.
Simply place the colony in your garden, open it up and the bumblebees will fly out to forage for pollen. At the end of the life of the colony the bumblebees will die off however new queens will be produced that will fly away to create their own colonies.
Bumblebees are docile and will only sting if severly aggravated.
Orders for bees are sent over on a Thursday for delivery the following Thursday/Friday.
