Slug TrapsThe specially formulated attractant is used to bait the traps. Each baited trap will attract slugs from a distance of 1 - 2 metres. To protect plants install the traps in a grid system at about 2 metre intervals. It is recommended that the traps are set before planting or sowing.

Mix the dose of the attractant with 240mls.(8 fl.ozs.) of water and stir thoroughly.

For each trap, set the base container in the ground so that the rim is level with the soil surface. Pour 80 mls. of attractant into each trap.

Fix the lid to the inner container and place in the base.

To check the catch, lift the inner container slowly to allow the attractant to run out. Remove the lid and tip the contents out.(Dead slugs are not a danger to wildlife). Reset the trap to continue catching.

One dose of bait should remain effective for at least two weeks. After this period a fresh batch of attractant should be prepared.
