Enviromesh FAQ's

Enviromesh Tried and Tested
More than 5 years of trials and 15 years of usage! Enviromesh, loved by gardeners all over the country, will celebrate 15 years of protecting fruit and vegetables against pests in 2008. Due to the fantastic success of Enviromesh, other companies have introduced products which they claim will do the same job, often without any evidence, experience or proof to back their claims. Enviromesh was developed and perfected following many years of trials in Germany, Holland and the UK. These trials ensured that the fabric was: Lightweight - so no physical damage may occur Maximum light penetration - ensuring crops do not become weak and 'leggy' Maximum ventilation - ensuring no serious risk of diseases developing Enviromesh was the first insect netting to be made available to gardeners in the UK. Some customers still have Enviromesh they purchased nearly 15 years ago! Enviromesh is, and will remain the market leader for crop protection netting. |

If I buy by the running metre how will it arrive?
Buying by the running metre is the most economical way of purchasing Enviromesh. If you order 'by the metre' it will come in one length folded, not beautifully, but folded! |
|
Why are the pack sizes more expensive?
The packs are hemmed on all 4 sides and usually packed in retail packaging. Enviromesh does not fray so buying by the running metre is the best value option. |
|
How do you know Enviromesh lasts for 10 years?
Enviromesh is not a new product, it has been on the market for 15 years. |
|
Is Enviromesh available in green?
No. Green Enviromesh would reduce light penetration resulting in a loss of yield and/or quality on certain crops especially when covering crops in Spring and Autumn. Enviromesh light passage = 90% |
|
Why not make the mesh size smaller to stop all insects?
A smaller mesh size can be useful against certain pests, especially flea beetle. We do offer a a finer mesh (click here) but we need to emphasise that it is only recommended for relatively short term covering. A smaller mesh size reduces light and air passage. |
