Basket Cosie


Basket Cosies allow hanging baskets to be put out earlier in the season. The Cosie will give protection against frost and cold winds. It will also reduce 'drying out' of the compost.

The Cosie is made from 25/28g green fleece and may be re-used many times, it is also machine washable on a low temperature setting.

Once the hanging basket is planted, hang it in position, open out the 'Cosie' and draw it up around the basket. Pull the draw cord to close the top and tie it in position. For 'pedestal' baskets the Cosie should be pulled down over the top and tied below.

During extended cold periods, spraying the Cosie with water will improve the insulation quality.
